Seeking advice for my wife

Good morning folks. First off, I am a loving husband who is trying to help his wife deal with this PCOS stuff. Thanks in advance for your time and comments. So, my wife was recently diagnosed with a minor form of PCOS. Her testosterone level is above the upper range and she very rarely has a period. I would say she has actually had PCOS most of her life, because she has never had regular periods. Since the age of 14, she has only had 1 or 2 periods per year. For about 10 years during her teens into her 20's, she was constantly on birth control pills for this very reason. They never worked. From what we can remember, she was put on 10 different versions of birth control and she still never had a regular period. At this point, she is highly opposed to pills in any form because she struggled with side effects from the birth control pills for so long. Also, we aren't trying to get pregnant. Our goal is to use diet and weight lifting to help regulate the PCOS symptoms in hopes of finding some sense of regularity for her cycle. She also struggles with excessive hair growth that she would love to eliminate. Obviously, she has been to doctor after doctor with no results. Most doctor's seem to only care about helping her get pregnant. She is not interested in getting pregnant at this time. She wants to fix her body. With that being said, I am putting her on a fairly heavy weight lifting regime and she will work towards eating a very low-carb and ketogenic diet. I am wondering if anyone has had positive results with weight lifting and keto/low-carb diets? As a side note, my wife doesn't have a big weight problem and she has never had blood glucose issues. We test our BG every morning and her fasting level is always in the 80-90 range. Her levels never spike higher than 110 throughout the day because we already follow a low-carb diet.
