Search didn't bring up the regular 5 series thread, just the current gen, so I creat a new one (but mods feel free to merge)
As it seems, the lack of success, general understanding for it's concept or praise in press doesn't mean BMW will give up on this small niche: The 5 series GT will live another generation, and though slightly less awkward looking, it will still not be a beauty:

I wonder if it will keep it's twin door hatch, or if BMW will just give up that concpet like Skoda did in the Superb....
