Diagnosed with PCOS last week...appears I've always had it and was never diagnosed

Hi everyone! I'm new here and looking for support. I'm a healthy 32 year old woman but always struggled with health quirks. Last week I came home from the doctor yet again with another health acronym to add to my list...PCOS.

I've had migraines since I was 8 years old and have been chronic the last 5 years. I've tried everything including anti seizure meds, botox, beta blockers and now doing nerve block steroid injections. I was on birth control for 15 years and stopped it back in Feb 2015. I was tracking my basal body temperature from April until September and found I was ovulating, luteal phase was always 15 days but follicular phase always varied. I'd go between a 33 day cycle to a 43 day cycle, one was 35, another 39...never regular. I remember irregular cycles when I was a teenager which prompted getting on birth control to stop embarrassing bleed accidents in school. My husband and I just started trying in September and while charting, my temp did spike but came back down and never remained elevated. I concluded I didn't ovulate. Took many preg tests and all negative. Skipped period and obgyn took a blood test, still negative. Ultrasound confirmed PCOS... On the bright side this may explain the way I am even more when it comes to migraines.

So now I'm on provera and waiting for period. Then will try clomid. I've been on it for a week...how long can it take?
