Hi! I am new to this, so I am not completely sure what I am doing. I am here in a little panic. I have had PCOS since 2001 (No children, but never tried....was busy with my career.) I stopped having periods in 2011 or so, but never truly looked into why. My husband is a physician, and I am a nurse so it's the typical health care couple who doesn't really tend to themselves, but cares for everyone else.
My husband treats many women with PCOS, but I am afraid he will not be impartial with me. It's typically why Doctors don't treat their own family.
I ran my labs 2 weeks ago. My testosterone levels came back OFF THE CHARTS. I am scared to death this means Ovarian Cancer, but all of my RBC's and WBC's are normal? I just got home from having a CA125 test run, and should have the results tomorrow.
Has anyone ever had an extremely high testosterone level?
My total was 559 (range to be 2-45)
Free was 58.5 (range to be 0.2-5.0)
Bioavailable testosterone was 130.5 (range to be 0.5-8.5)
I have had a very stressful 6 months, and have not been eating properly and have gained perhaps around 20 lbs. But I have NEVER seen levels like this. Not even in the patients we take pellets out of!
I just wondered if anyone else has had this very scary experience?
