Hi all. I know there is good evidence about myo inositol helping restore ovulation / achieve pregnancy. But I'm wondering if anyone has come across any research (or anecdotally, has been told anything by their doctor) about staying on myo inosotol during the first trimester. I know many women who are on metformin stay on it during their first trimester (or beyond) for purposes of preventing miscarriage - since it seems myo inosotol is a sort of "natural" metformin and has many of the same effects in terms of lowering insulin resistance, wouldn't it make sense to similarly stay on it during the first trimester at least? I've seen some people say that doctors have them stop myo immediately once they get their BFP because of the fear that it can cause uterine contractions at high doses...but I also know there was recently a study done that found good results for reducing gestational diabetes by consuming inositol. I'm confused! Anyone have any thoughts / anecdotes / research references?
REQUEST: Myo inositol and pregnancy / miscarriage prevention ?
