I have been notified that I am due for a pap test, and would also like to have other tests done, for possible pcos, I have excess body hair, but I have always had regular periods. in addition, I have had the normal signs of ovulation, like mucus mid cycle, and sometimes mild pain in either right or left of where my leg meets my groin in mid cycle.
I read some of the articles about pcos, and how tests results are often inaccurate or not the right tests, so I am a bit confused as to what to ask for, if the tests wiil do any good.
I think I should start with diabetes and cholesterol, as those seem to be bad in pcos, are there specific types of these tests I should ask for?
also getting out for this is hard, I dont drive and have to get someone to drive me so the more tests I can get done in fewer appointments will mean fewer trips to the doctor needed.
