Hi Everyone!
i was diagnosed on Thursday with PCOS and Insulin Resistance and been put on metformin. I'm not to sure how as only had one blood test and someone said she should have done an ultrasound to see if my ovaries were enlarged. I have high cortisol too but she said that was not anything to be concerned about as once I loose weight things should go back to normal. I can understand the Insulin resistance as it was 35 fasting and she said it should be around 5-6 so that's way above. I'm 38 5f 6 and weigh 85kg. I have also been told to check out possible MS as I have other symptoms which was why I went to see a woman's hormone dr in the first place.
Has anyone with this and on metformin who sticks to the no carb diet lost the weight and returned to normal insulin levels and pcos free. I know nothing about it so not to sure how the whole thing works.
