Hello! Starters, im very overweight. 300+ and trying to lose it! For the past few months ive been having some issues female wise. I bled for 2 months straight very heavely with no pain. so i had some test done (ultrasound, paps, bloodwork..the works) and everything came back fine besides finding out my thyroid is a little underactive so i was put on synthroid. I explained to him that i have either no period or bleed for weeks and have unwanted body and facial hair and gain no matter what. He said i could still have pcos even if theres no evidence of cyst on ultrasounds. He then prescribed me a birthcontrol that has a low dose of estrogen..i was scared because i have high blood pressure and in the past it has raised it. I kept asking them about switching to progesterone only pill but he insist the small dose of estrogen will help me and is really wanting me to try. Do you have any ideas or past expirence with what im going through? Any opinions or suggestions on what i should do would be greatly appreciated.
