Pure terror over laparoscopy

I'm scheduled to have my first lap on Friday to do ovarian drilling and look for endo. I have never been more afraid of anything in my life. I know everyone says it's not a huge deal, it's so easy compared to other surgeries, etc etc. But there's so much I'm afraid of. I've never been put under for one. And I'm a cna, I did multiple internships with rotations in surgery, I've seen pelvic surgeries, and from what I saw I never want one. The idea of being strapped into stirrups.... I've only ever been with one man, my husband, and the idea of giving a show for a whole room while under anesthesia terrifies me too. (Like I said, I'm in the medical field, I know they are "professionals", and I know many anesthesias are amnesiacs and I won't remember anything) and then I feel like is there even a point in doing this surgery when if it is endo, it's just going to come back?

i guess I'm just looking for some cysters who have had this done and if they are happy they did it or not, and why?
